Since its launch in 2002, the consortium has developed and promoted different concepts now integrated into industry practices: integrated value chain management, collaborative operations planning, demand and revenue management mechanisms, etc.

Our Mission

A recognized reference for its research, training and knowledge transfer activities, the FORAC research consortium pursues its mission to improve the competitiveness of the forest industry and the creation of value for society as a whole, from the forest to the customer, by :

  • Training qualified personnel to create targeted multidisciplinary expertise sensitive to industry issues;
  • Carrying out innovative collaborative research to develop and communicate knowledge;
  • Promoting the adaptability of all partners in the forest products value chain.
