Recent Advances in Smart Mobility Analysis – an overview and a vision
The social and technological landscape of city mobility is changing rapidly. The main direction of this change is enhanced automation and new mobilities such as car- or bike-sharing, electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous vehicles (AVs), and improvements to public transport. Under this new mobility system, different travel modes connect and interact with each other, which generates an Integrated Multimodal Transportation System. Travelers are the basic component of the mobility system, and individual travel behaviour analysis is necessary to understand the operation mechanisms of the system. At the same time, user requirements are evolving quickly with new services for transport, such as Mobility as a Service (MaaS). This presentation will show the recent advances in travel behaviour analysis for the new mobility system. It will also provide information for future research directions.
